ZAS LAUNCHES PROJECT TO COUNTER HUMAN TRAFFICKING

The Zambia Association of Sisterhoods (ZAS) launched its counter human trafficking project, Talitha Kum Zambia (TAKUZA), at Mika Hotel in Lusaka on Thursday 27th April, 2023. The project is aimed at ending human trafficking in Zambia.

ZAS is an association with a membership of 45+ Religious women congregations. It brings together all congregations to express the communion that unites them. Through collaborating together, they help one another to discern and fulfil God’s plan, in communion with the church.

The project launch was a colorful event attended by 80 guests who included; the ZAS Chairperson who is also the Superior General for the Religious Sisters of Charity, representatives of UN agencies, embassies and CSOs, Caritas Director, the Vicar for the Religious and Consecrated, Congregational superiors, Reverend Fathers, Religious men and women, and members of the press among others.
